Joseph T. Rasmussen
Joe is a native of Audubon County, having been born and raised on a farm northeast of Exira. Joe attended Exira High School and upon graduation, attended Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He then attended the University of Nebraska College of Law in Lincoln, Nebraska, and graduated with a Juris Doctorate in December, 2009. At that time, he returned to Exira and began working with Robert D. Nelson at the firm of Rasmussen & Nelson. Joe visits the Elk Horn and Audubon offices by appointment. Upon Bob’s retirement in 2011, Joe was a solo practitioner until September, 2015. In 2016, he and Theodore R. Wonio formed Rasmussen, Nelson & Wonio, PLC. Joe’s areas of general practice include, but are not limited to estate planning, income tax, probate, real estate and business transactions.
Joe and his wife, Abby, have six children: Austin, Zoey, Skyla, Harper, Weston and Calvin.

Theodore R. Wonio
Theodore was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa. He received his undergraduate degree in Finance from St. Louis University and his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Atlantic has been his home for the past seven years. He is a current member of the Atlantic, Iowa, Jaycees; he serves on the Cass County Judicial Magistrate Nominating Commission. Theodore’s areas of general practice include but are not limited to, probate and trust administration, estate planning, real estate, tax, family law, banking and finance, agriculture, and criminal law.
Theodore and his wife, Andrea, have four children: Lainey, Marjorie, Tad Jr. and Richard.
